Case Study: Driven Sound & Security
Driven Sound & Security is a small operation with big goals, based in the lake country of Michigan. They contacted AVIDWORX to upgrade their store recently, helping them to modernize and diversify with a selection of amplified and interactive showcases.
“We were at the point where it was time to start moving forward – and we were moving, but not as quickly as we wanted to,” Lambertson says. “Upgrading our showroom was probably the number one thing we could do to take our store to the next level, but if it was left to me to build the showcases and showroom, it never would have happened. We’re a smaller operation, and AVIDWORX was cost effective for us.”
The showroom space was just 600 square feet, but AVIDWORX was able to provide a wide range of showcases including a sound stage, power management, sound damping, media control, multimedia and video, marine, lighting and accessories, performance accessories, remote start, start & track, driving safety, window treatments and the “OEM Factory Replacement” showcase. Before & After

Lambertson says the new showcases made an immediate impact on his customers.
“So far the results have been good when people come into the showroom,” he said. “We get a lot of compliments and we’re optimistic. Overall it’s been positive so far.”
Lambertson said it will take full year to assess the full benefits of their AVIDWORX Whole Store Solution. For example, the installation was too late in the year for marine and window treatment seasons, but in the meantime customers coming in for remote start and other upgrades can see that they carry those product categories. Now it’s clear from the showcase signs exactly what they carry, and what the benefits are to customers.
“The biggest difference we’ve seen (since the upgrade with AVIDWORX) is for backup cameras and driving safety showcases. We’ve had a 900% increase there — it’s crazy how many we’ve sold,” Lambertson says. “The problem is that people had no idea we did these things until we put them on display. It makes me wonder how many thousands of dollars we could have made if we did this earlier.”
